Reading out loud

Any early childhood educator should understand the importance of reading aloud to children. This should be done from as young an age as possible. There is nothing more pleasurable than exploring a book with a child who feels like they are being transported into the story they are reading with you.

American Author, Jim Trelease, has written a great book called “The Read Aloud Handbook” which offers a range of tips and tricks for early childhood educators seeking to maximize the benefits and enjoyment to be gained from reading aloud to children.

Sit back and enjoy the read!
